Hatch wont open

I have a 98 GSR and the hatch will not open unless I use the key. If I try with the lever it sounds like a jam but I do not know where to even start. I know its a minor, but a huge inconvinence. If anyone has had this problem or knows more about it your feedback is greatly appreciated

Possibly the cable is out of adjustment on the lever, or the clip broke off of the release leaver. Otherwise i have a spare release lever if your interested.

do the integra's have a keylock by the release lever?

i have one on my civic ex. im just wondering if thats locked; if they have them that is. thats the only thing i can think of besides what andyjt suggested.

94/97 integras just had a key which opened it. the 98+ were integrated with the door locks so if the car was unlocked you could use the release leaver. Also had a key hole as well.

I know my hatch does this same thing and I do beleive that it is the cable is stretched.

I believe it is more the cable is out of adjustment cause the clip is there

I have an 00 gsr it doesnt even have a release lever. i have to use a key

yet both 94 LS's in my driveway have one.
