When: Saturday, November 10, 2007
Time: Start showin up at 8-9pm, tourney starts roughly 9:30pm
How much: $10 gets you in the tourney and goes towards the cost for the tourney beer and payout.
The $10 buy in goes for the cost of beer for use in the tourney and goes towards a payout to the top one/two teams. Depending on how many teams we get will decide how much the payout will be and if its just the winning team or the top two winning teams.
There will be two Beer Pong tables set up in two different rooms in the basement. The tourney will be a double elimination style tournament with the winning teams on one table and the losing teams on the other. If you want to drink other that while you are playing, please byob cause we need to make sure there is enough for the tourney.
post up any questions/comments/concerns that you would have, also post up if you will be in attendance and whether or not you intend to spectate or compete, and post up what beer you prefer. The majority of what is called out here will be the beer that will be bought and used.
Official Rules:
- Officials will be named at the event, so do not ask to be an official.
- The game will be 10 cup with 2 balls in play.
- Both teams will throw simultaneously to determine which team goes first. First team to make when the other misses gets first possession.
- Once the ball hits the table it is fair game to be slapped away.
- Blowing is allowed but you will be called a FAG unless you are a female.
- If a team makes both of their shots on their turn, then they may get to have the balls back in order to have another turn. If it is the last two cups on the table, the game is over and no redemption is allowed.
- 2 Re-Racks are allowed per game but must be done before your turn starts.
- Once the last cup is made, the other team has a chance for redemption by making all the remaining cups on the table. If this occurs, a 3-2-1 pyramid is setup and overtime begins.
- If a cup is knocked over, that cup is to have whatever left drank and is outta the game.
- Game will consist of 2 beers spread even through the cups per round.
- Teams of two players only. No one-man teams allowed.
- Once teams are selected, before play begins, there will be no swapping partners. If you partner passes out, gives up, leaves you will be forfeit.
- You can select who you want your partner to be. Do not post up here whether you are looking for a partner or not, take it up in pm's/texting/phone/in person.
- If you do not have a partner when you show up, do not fret. You can find a partner once you are there or have one assigned.
- This is for fun. If any unwanted drama is to occour, the participating teams will be disqualified and escorted off the premesis. So lets keep it all in good fun and nice in nature.
