My gsr isn't starting.
There is no clicking when I try to start it. The dash lights come on and all my accesories do work.
It all started when I was at school wednesday, I left my lights on and the battery died. So I pop started it and it ran fine. when I attempted to start it the next time it did'nt start. It just acted like the clutch wasn't engaged.
Also I have remote unlocks on the car, and occasionally before this they would prevent me from starting the car. All I would have to do is press one of the buttons on the remote and it would then start.
The remote isnt working at this point. I tried replacing its battery but it still wont light up or unlock/lock my doors.
If you have any ideas on what could be wrong please feel free to let me know because I would prefer not to have to popstart my car everytime.
Edit** Someone on H-T mentioned two possibilities. My starter disable or my clutch interlock. seeing as I dont know what either of those are im still lost.

some remote start / alarm / keyless may have a starter kill wired up with it.
The starter may be disabled through a relay. You can check under your dash and see if the ignition wire harness has been messed with.
And what DOES work?.....lights, hazards, etc.?

depending on the alarm/etc., some will do certain things like stay armed or arm itself when the brain loses power. I imagine it still could be a crappy battery....you should check with a meter and see what the voltage does when it cranks.00gsr;94855 wrote:5thgen

Also you can run a 12 gauge jumper wire to your starter solenoid just to check if you can crank the car with voltage straight from your battery. REMEMBER to keep the car out of gear when you do this. If it cranks no problem, then you are most likely not getting signal to that solenoid itself.

The brain losing power could be caused by what? A disconnected wire, blown fuse, bad battery?
