I put a Tein basic coilover suspension on my CRX (teins $700 coilover strut combo) and some new LCA's about 2 months ago. well I have a few issues that really have been bothering me..
1) It seems to ride bouncy still mainly in the back?? is this normal?
2) to get the ride height to sit even and where I wanted it all of the coilovers are adjusted at different levels on the threads? did I adjust them wrong?
3) in the back there is a horrible knocking sound like the spring is hitting the top mount? like a hammer to the suspension? I cant figure out where its coming from... its when I hit sharp bumps, well pretty much any little bump.
everything seems tight I have looked at it numerous times and tried stuff.. the one thing I wasnt sure about is that the drivers side rear and the passenger rear are adjusted at different levels (I went by the number of threads from the bottom on the coilover) one is like 7 threads up from the bottom and the other is 3. but it sits level... my main concerns are why is the car bouncy still and why is that knocking noise still there after I replaced all that shit..

1) It seems to ride bouncy still mainly in the back?? is this normal?
-The crx has little to almost no weight over the rear so when you upgrade to stiffer shock rates this is a result, ride becomes ALOT stiffer and there is less give. consider this normal
2) to get the ride height to sit even and where I wanted it all of the coilovers are adjusted at different levels on the threads? did I adjust them wrong?
-Once again consider this normal due to variations manufacture process and the age of the car, bushings wear out and the car may sag more on one side vs the other
3) in the back there is a horrible knocking sound like the spring is hitting the top mount? like a hammer to the suspension? I cant figure out where its coming from... its when I hit sharp bumps, well pretty much any little bump.
-Probley your exhaust remember as you lower the car the suspension will have to move further up into the car, usally your exhaust which goes over the lower control arm is not mounted in a way to prevent the exhaust from hitting the LCA when the suspension travels due to the car being lowered further then stock.. i have this problem due to how low my car is.. my exhaust actually sits on the rear LCA and rattle but i have just gotten used to ignoring it

Can you adjust the damper on the shocks? That will help with the stiff/bounciness in the rear. You could have someone maybe bounce the rear end as best they could while you have your head looking underneath the car, don't stick you head literally underneath it, to see if you can spot what is hitting.
