spark problem... need help

1994 honda del sol with a d15b swap... im getting no spark... pligs are fine ..wires are good... and distributor look fine... i was thinking it could be the ignition control nodule... any ideas??? im trying to get this fixed tonight..any help would be aoppreciated

does it have the external coil on it?

idk... im not good with eletrical stuff... so really idk..any ideas on wut to do cause i need to get my car running

the coil seems fine... i replaced the ignitor but now ive noticed that when i turn the key to start it the fuel pump doesnt kick on... could this be my problem after all is just the fuel pump??? does a bad fuel pump cause u to not get spark?? idk im confused and really would like some help

Then you need to test the coil & ICM. Typically, if one fails, it'll cause the other to fail, so if you replaced only 1 of the two, then the new part probably is faulty now as well (if in fact the coil/icm went bad). You can check resistance on the coil pack, i think its supposed to be around 9KOhms (at least for my engine, you'll have to check a helms manual for valid ranges). There's other tests for the ICM as well, again please check a manual.

If you think it's the fuel pump, check voltage going to it, and make sure it's getting the necessary power. Prior to the last time when you didn't hear the pump prime, could you smell unburnt gas? An easy way to test that is pull a spark plug turn it over and smell for gas, or have someone stand there smell/watch the cylinder while you turn the key.

i did that and smelled no gas... i even disconnected the fuel rail and cranked it and i got no fuel still.... i dont understand y i started with with no spark but fuel and now im getting neither spark or fuel... if the fuel pump is bad that couldnt have anything to do with me not getting spark could it??

No, independent systems. Have you checked the fusebox since you stopped getting fuel? I'd re-check all fuses to be on the safe side.

i checked the fuses and there fine... i took the battery to get tested and charged so im waiting to c wut the results are on that... my roomate just told to try it cuase if the battery is going bad he said it may just be throwin everything off.. im not sure so any more ideas would be very appreciated.
