On September 4th, all classes from 12:05-5:30 are cancelled, and Gateway International Raceway is opening early — exclusively for Ranken students, alumni and employees!
The first 100 students to register for the event will receive “Racing 101” instruction from ESPN radio and television personality Bret Kepner and be able to race their street cars, show cars, and hot rods on Gateway’s famous drag strip.
If you don’t want to race, come and spectate! All Ranken students, alumni, and employees are welcome. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. with technical check-in for drivers. At 1:30 the racing instruction begins, and from 2:00-5:00 we race. Best of all is the price — just $5.00 for drivers and FREE for spectators!
Racers - please visit Ranken’s website to register for the September 4th event, or pick up a registration form from the admissions office, complete it and drop it off to Mr. Wood in the Office of Education. Spectators do not need to register, just show up at 12:30 p.m.
