Defently get an alignment done after you drop it... dont wait a week , like me! tires were bald, they looked like slicks...no matter what ddrop you do, it will look way better than stock!

for the third time on this site, you don't need a camber kit, just get an alignment and get the toe set to zero

You should really just stop posting, i hate to be a dick and ride your ass but come one this is incorrect information and you have NO factual information to back up these statements.

Getting your car aligned is a requirement no matter if you lower your car or not, yes you usally do need a alignment after lowering your car, but it all depends on how far you dropped the car. Adjusting the FACTORY suspension componets will only give you so much adjustment. My car is hammered over 4" of drop and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get over 4degreees of camber adjustment out of the factory componets, so a camber kit is required.

So depending on the level of drop will depend on if a camber kit is need is the CORRECT information that should have been given.

2" drop and camber kit

guess you didn't read the link, it doesn't matter if you have negative camber, toe eats tires, not camber, i've been riding around for over 5 years with no camber kit and haven't had uneven tire wear on any set of tires i've had

here's more info
here are some myths facts and faqs that people have about alignments... lets start with the faqs

FAQS:
Q: I LOWERED MY CAR THEN GOT AN ALIGNMENT BUT I LOWERED IT MORE DO I HAVE TO GET ANOTHER ALIGNMENT?
A: usually when you mess with height or any suspension part then you would need to get another alignment..

Q: DO I NEED A CAMBER KIT WHEN I LOWER MY CAR?
A: No, a camber kit is not needed but is sometimes recommended... a little camber is always a good thing when you want a car to handle better... and if you lower your car too low and have a camber kit then it might hit you shock towers...

Q: OK I WENT TO GET ALIGNMENT WITHOUT A CAMBER KIT AND THE TECH SAID I WOULD NEED ONE. DO I REALLY NEED ONE?
A: like i said above its not necessary and you tell them screw you then go somewhere else...

Q: I WENT TO GET AN ALIGNMENT AND THE TECH SAID MY CASTER IS OFF, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
A: caster cant be fixed on our double wishbone cars unless you buy a kit... usually caster is off because of bad bushings or a bent suspension part... ask the tech if theres a bent suspension part and if there is then change it out.. if he says its not a bent part then change out your bushings... if you have a bent part but dont want to pay for it either live with it or buy a caster kit... spc makes a caster and camber arm for the front...

MYTH:
lowering a car adds camber to a car, but it kills tires every few thousand miles or every few months..
FACT:
camber does cause uneven tire wear but it is not what causes tires to wear down quickly.. toe is what causes tires to wear down quickly... once a car is lowered it addes negative camber, and causes toe to become out of whack... stock specs for toe make the wheels point forward, but when a car is lowered then usually the wheels point inward.. it is uncommon for the wheels to point outward but it could... or one could point forward and one could point in... you guys get the point the car will want to go in different directions so thats what causes the quick excessive wear...

if you guys have any questions please pm me and i'll help u guys out... :thumb up:

yes, it causes uneven wear, but not wearing quicker than regular, if you rotate your tires like you should you'll be fine

What the hell are you talking about. If you rotate your tires, they're still riding on the part that wears faster.

I think hes saying that they are going to wear at the same rate no matter if its lowered or not, its just going to wear unevenly. Which is true, no matter if you ride on the inside outside or center of tire its going to wear all at the same rate.

It may have the same wear rate, but since the tire is at an angle, you get to the belts faster when compared to a car with factory spec camber.

Ask me how I know

Do you even bother to read anything you write?

lowering your car to the point were you have to much camber and you ride only on the inside of the tire will cause uneven tire wear, FASTER tire wear because instead of evenly distributing the weight of the car across the ENTIRE tread pattern you are putting the entire weight on a smaller portion, meaning that section of the tire will wear faster.

Your preaching about toe and toe has NOTHING to do with lowering your car, if your toes is out its because it was out before you ever thought about lowering your car. I had my car aligned awhile back and i had bad toe and camber issues , they were able to fix my toe and align everything properly but they were not able to fix my camber issue 4 degrees neg. Thus because of this issue it caused my tires to wear the insides out and obviously uneven tire wear.

The obvious fix to this problem is a camber kit, then the car will ride completely on the entire tread pattern thus equaling a even tire wear.

People who have lowered cars who do not suffer from uneven tire wear on the insides, have cars that are not lowered very much probley under two inches, which does not cause hardly any camber issues at all.

so yes if you have a aggressively lowered car then you would want to purchase a camber kit.
