SCCA autocross event: August 12th at GIR

The next autocross event is on Sunday, August 12th at Gateway International Raceway's lot. You can sign up online at stlsolo.org (or http://www.dlbracing.com/default.aspx?), or register at the site from 7:30am-9:00am (first car off around 10am). The format has a morning and afternoon session, with 3 runs each (6 runs total for the day, weather permitting). Your best time is between morning and afternoon sessions and would decide where you place in your class.

Watching is free, and if you let me know ahead of time, you can even ride along with me for a run or two to get an idea of what it's like. Hope to see you all there!

hey I'm new to the sight, but I've seen your car out at the auto-x before. I will be there but not racing, next summer the teg will be ready. I'm bringing some guys out there who have never been to one with me. Anyone who has not been should do come on it's free to watch.

Coo coo. You should still run your 'Teg though. Trust me, there's been all kinds of cars that aren't "ready", but they're being run anyways. Besides, when you first start out, most of what you should concentrate on is your driving, not if the car is fully prepped. I improved dramatically when, outside of putting better tires, didn't tinker with the car and just focused on driving better.

I know what you are saying, but as of right now I enjoy watching I will run next summer. I will look for you and introduce myself, I'm Nate, that's what I think is the best part about the people out there, everyone is super friendly and doesn't mind if you check out there cars and set up. Maybe you can take me for a run pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.

BTW, I'm course designer for this event. Expect the course to be pretty wide open.
