2" drop and camber kit

Post by slow del sol »

I am looking at a 2" drop kit for my del sol, do I need to plan on buying a camber kit also or will it be alright ? I know it probably depends on the quality of the kit also? I just don't want to compromise tire wear since this is a 75 mile DD.

make sure you soak the bolts in penitraiting lubericant before you try to loosen them.

I used to have a 3 inch drop on my car and had no problem with Camber or any kind of tire wear. I know have about a 2inch drop and dont have a camber kit although my camer is off about .4 degrees on BOTH sides its equal so there is no problem.

Some people say you need it while others say you dont.

Werd.

I have had 30+ cars and almost all of them were lowered some way. I have never had any kind of camber kit on any of them. My car now is probably dropped about 3 inches I would say. I dont have a camber kit and my car doesnt have unevenly worn tires. I would say lower it and drive it and then go from there. But if you dont want to waste the time of lowering it and then redoing it for the camber kit then buy one and put it on. Its up to you man and if you have the money imo.

If you don't mind burning tires up a little faster and you don't plan on tracking the car, you don't need a camber kit.

When I dropped my car it needed a camber kit, but you're going to hear both sides.

This isnt true because I had my falkens on my car for almost 4 years and there was no abnormal tire wear.

Would it help to get an alignment after dropping? or would they just tell me that the camber is off. It drives really straight right now, I would hate to mess that up.
