It's a simple damned question, Jesus! Regions must differ then, b/c I'm Solo I AND Solo II(mostly II), and no one was allowed to run owning a 'vert, w/out a roll bar. It's pretty stupid IMO to NOT have this a required modification.deetz;52656 wrote:why the fuck did i need a roll bar? it was solo2 and after making one run with the instructor guy they set me and my buddy free, which he didnt have a rollbar either, just so you know

No, what I meant was, if you had a convertible, NO MATTER WHAT, you MUST have a bar. Like I said, regions differ it sounds like. Pretty dangerous if you ask me; ESP if someone gets stupid, and heaven forbid the worst happens.deetz;52881 wrote:i guess since we had our tops up they didnt say shit to us, about 4 of us showed up,

If this was an SCCA autocross event, it is acceptable to run without a roll bar (Solo and ProSolo). For SCCA track events (Solo1 or PDX), and some HPDE (High Speed Performance Driving Education) days, a rollbar is required.deetz;52881 wrote:i guess since we had our tops up they didnt say shit to us, about 4 of us showed up,

Depending on where it is held, actually. If held at Gateway, being a closed park/track, and/or wheel-wheel event, yes, it IS MANDATORY to have a roll-bar.00civicEX;52894 wrote:its required by scca....
If it's an open parking lot, depending on the inspections regulation coordinator of that event, it is not.
