Adrenaline Zone/Demolition Ball

Post by Spork »

This was brought up waaaay back in the early days of the board, but I think we have enough people now to possibly actually make it happen. I'm looking to organize a "meet", (or possibly a 'fundraiser' for the site) to go play Demolition Ball and/or Adrenaline Zone laser tag. as far as a date goes, I'm thinking some time in June, but it depends on whether we can get a reservation for a court or not.
Looks like the cost would be around 20-40 a person depending on what we do and how many hours we want to be there, but I think it would be a great time

more info is here:
http://www.demolitionball.com/

Any one with thoughts on how we might want to structure this, or want to offer help setting this up with me, please post up!

Kinda pricey even at $20/person. It's fun but not $20 fun, IMO.

edit: I will saw the the demolition ball isn't a whole lot of fun to me. The Adrenaline Zone does look pretty cool though. I'd probably be interested in that. And if this does go through, I vote for having it on a Sunday.

my family rented out that demolition ball court a couple years back and it was really fun, a lot more fun than i expected, but i was like 13-14 then, so idk if it would be as fun as i remember to me now, or to you all "adults" either, but laser tag is always fun and im game either way
Never bring show to a go fight

Im game and I rather spend 20 on this vs like 60 or whatever for the grand prix speedway like others do. But thats just my opinion.

i did the demolition ball and lasertag back in october and had fun doing both. the demolition ball was expensive, but fun. i had more fun with the lasertag and it was cheaper. i think either would be fun to do and best to do on a saturday night around 7 or 8 pm since i believe they are open till 11 or 12 pm.

well, i figured demolition ball would be fun since it involves at least minor 'driving skillzzzzz'... plus I seem to be pretty damn good at wrecking cars. But if the concensus is that it is too expensive, then we can just stick to laser tag. I'm just trying to get out and do more diverse things than stand around in parking lots...

driving the bumper cars and driving cars are completely different :) and what we did the one night was do demolition ball for an hour (the $20 or $40 it costs is for a one hour time slot) and then played lasertag till we were too tired to play anymore. (laser tag was $5 for 15 - 20 minutes) and when it was over, we were completely worn out from running around.

ps standing in parking lots is fun :)

you can do half hour of demolition ball for 10$ too, for those who are low on $$
I guess prices went up, because I did it with my ex like 9 months ago and it was only 8$ per person for 1/2 hour.
It's fun, if I don't have to work that day, I'll definitely come, it's only 10 min from my place, oh, and my gf will come too
