what is the best shifter

i was thinking about buying a short throw shifter. what kind do you recommend? not for racing, just for a dailydriver. i used to have a b&m ripper on my old t-bird and i loved it. anyone use the b&m shifter?

Yeah the b&m 1's are good also neuspeed makes 1 thats pretty nice aswell,you could probably pick up a decent one off e-bay pretty cheap.

B&M is what i used to prefer.
But i shoft shifter's really dont do much for me anymore.
They don't help increase the speed at what you shift at all, and if used improperly will do more bad then good on a tranny. I understand though if it's more comfortable.

I've heard ebay shifters have a tendency to break in half during a hard throw.

that is a problem with most aluminum shifters...
I rock a B&M dual bend, and LOVE it... word of advice tho, don't use the stupid bearing sleeve that comes with it; if you can, remove the bearing from the stocker and hammer that into the b&m.
