All right, I know that it is still 283 days away, but I figured i'd better get a nice and early jump on putting reservations on all of the Tapoco Lodge, which is probably the most choice location to stay since it's right there on the end of the dragon...

So i just dropped $1000 to hold all 31 rooms which will hold ~63 of us.....

Dates you ask? Well, I booked the rooms for August 3rd and 4th... so if you are remotely interested in going, keep that weekend open

Note that i am not taking money/reservations just yet (i'm not ready to do so), this first post is just to get people thinking/talking about it.......

** Update 01/22/07 (t-minus 193 days) **
- Just called the Lodge for a few questions i was hoping to have answered... i guess living in FL i am not too used to seeing/hearing of places being "closed for the season", but that is the case for the Lodge until April 7th or something like that.... so heavy duty lodging planning won't happen until then

** Update 02/13/07 (t-minus 170 days) **
- The event has been added to the TailOfTheDragon.com Calendar
- Looks like there's a Saturn meetup the same weekend, so it looks like Tegs and Saturns will dominate the landscape that weekend


** Update 04/02/07 (t-minus 123 days) **

All right, the Lodge is back open and I just talked to them......

Here's the list of questions i rattled off, unfortunately they need to talk them over and get back to me

- Total cost for the weekend so i can divy it up

- Accomodations List: List of all rooms, locations, and # of beds per

- Can we have the TV room open all night Friday?

- Check in procedure (I'm hoping they'll allow me to get all the keys and distribute them as needed)

- Breakfast for Saturday morning for everyone (which I am planning on paying for as my way of "thanks for showing up")

- We're planning lunch at the Lodge on Saturday afternoon, discussing whether the Lodge caters it or would we be able to bring our own grill and handle it

I'll keep everyone posted as i get more info, but Tapoco being re-opened is a HUGE hurdle now cleared
