STLHondas Dyno Day

Post by Sleepy Civic DX »

First of all the dyno day would at MCS performance diesel in grey summit. The reason it is at a diesel shop is because the person that tunes on their dyno is my friend and he has been working on hondas for a long long time. I have already talked to the owner of the shop and he seems interested in doing it.

I should also note that this is not a tuning session. I from what I have learned a lot of people dont have the tuning gear that is needed to tune on a dyno (cam gears, chipped ecu, etc.), also it would take a lot of time to tune several cars and everyone would not be able to get on the dyno. So I have come to the conclusion that a dyno day would be best and a lot of fun

Cost will be $60 for two pulls, that is a power/torque pull & a quarter mile pull, or $70 dollars for three pulls of with any combo of the 2.

I also want to warn you about a couple of things, it takes time to strap each car down, calibrate the dyno and make the pulls, so this will be a long day, I was thinking someone could bring down a ps2 and a tv or something to that effect, Rick suggested a bbq pit so we could cook some lunch. Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

We could turn this into a meet and all cruise down there, or you guys could come down there in waves. I just hate for us all to be standing around being bored waiting our turns.

You will be able to drive your car on the dyno, but you will have to sign a waiver, releasing the shop of responsibility if your engine blows, etc. Or My friend can drive your car on the dyno, its up to you.

And just like I wrote before, make sure your engine is in good shape before you run it as this is a true test of it, it will be run hard, with no cool air rushing on it to cool it.

EDIT: The day is March 18th, it is a Sunday
