This would be my money pit. the car was tuned at lowe performance and they did an amazing job. thanks to friends like dale, tom, andy, and the chris's one of my dream cars was fulfilled. now while it may not be the omgjdmbbq fastest car ever this car is my car i have put my blood sweat and tears into this car and nothing brings me more joy than to drive this when it is running lol. i can go from bad day to smile on my face with just the sound of its exhaust.
I can trace this car back to 2002 when my friend john scofield had it and sold it to his ex girlfriend my friend mindy runyon and was just a bone stock white cx until i got ahold of it in 2006 for 1000$ with everything perfect except a slipping clutch. i beggedd and pleaded for this car for years and was promised it when she decided to sell it. then one day in july of 06 i got the call and that same night i was the proud owner
. i loved this car and loved the 40+ mpg but fell victim to the vtec. i acquired an abused and neglected hatch with a crvtech and a junk gsr tranny. i did a full rebuild on the engine also buying a type r transmission so i would not be hitting any snags along the way. all the while stocking up on susspension parts so i could handle just as good as it would move. then came the day to throw everything in hours upon hours of putting parts in and cutting in jams. the day it fired up was amazing 2 a.m. and the neighbors were pissed b/c i still had to weld an extension on the "cat" b/c it was running open header. then it was off to lowe for a good tune and then the driving could occur right? wrong! because i spend my days at a desk i search the interwebs and find things to upgrade. so far for the last year it has been done i have driven >100 miles but alas 2009 will be a good year as long as i dont find any reason to buy new shit for it
