good or bad idea?

well my sunroof came off of my ej1 and i was thinking of just filling it in with some bondo instead of buying a whole new sunroof. or if you guys have any other ideas let me know.

Bondo in that volume with crack and look like crap.

well i'm thinking of welding a piece of sheet metal over it then bondoing it for a seal that'd be way too much bondo lol.

...i think itd b more practical to look for a compatible sunroof maybe from other cars or jus order one.......that much bondo on the roof of a car and temp changes jus scream cracks and body waves....not to mention having to get the car repainted....to at least look decent

Get another sunroof. You will have a very hard time getting the roof to look good if you weld in metal and use bondo. Also you would have to weld in some sort of support under the metal or it would flex and the bondo would crack. Finally if you did the welding and dont use some corrosion protection you are going to create a huge hot spot for rust on your roof.

Just got to the junk yards and see if you can find a new sunroof.

I say get a roof scoop, that way you will never get to hot. constint airflow is good.
