crx antenna

so i picked up a very clean 90 crx si about a week ago and the antenna is shaved. my radio gets horrible reception. i dont know if they shoved the oem antenna into the pillar before the shave or what.

my question is, anyone have any ides on retro fitting a different antenna on. ive debated on using a vw little angled antenna on the roof. curious if anyone else might have any opinions.

just purchase a powered antenna from metra like this

it has dbl sided tape on it and at work we use them ALOT in boats and old cars that dont have antennas. they work REALLY well and this is the same item i use in my cars when i delete the antenna.

it doesnt have very good reviews. im still lookin into it though. where do you usually mount it to get best reception?

Well I've been doing car audio for 20 years so I've installed ALOT if them and tend to have good luck mounting them high on the windshield by the rearview mirror so that way it's kind of hidden
