93 honda del sol weather stripping/other small items
So I used the search button but came up with nothing. So my problem is the driver side door on my newly inherited del sol leaks. Im looking for the weather stripping that seals the window to the body. But since im doing it anyway would replace all the weather stripping and just be done with it. So can anyone tell me where to get these peices? Im in need of alot of minor things like this, and hood latch cable. those kinds of things. i have no idea where to these items from other than a dealership who most likely will not have anything i need or will want my first born child in exchange. Btw I feel like i must say im not an idiot. lol. if i needed this stuf for a mustang id know exaxctly where to go. just new to this side of things. so any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Any dealership will be able to get you those parts. Gotta pay to play.

Last I heard, you cannot get the targa seals from the dealer anymore but it doesn't hurt to try. If you get lucky and find some, you want the ones for 95 and up because they redesigned the seals because of the leaking problems.
Also, if you look in the rules for the marketplace.....you need 30 posts to see the section or you can pay $10 to support the site and see it now

Honda still lists the weatherstripping and targa seals available and lists the part number the same from '93-'97. If there is a revision due to a TSB, they usually won't make the old part available. Unfortunately, I can't pull up the Targa Seal TSB to verify the revised P/N since you can no longer view them without a Honda IN log-in.ymisoqt;265101 wrote:Last I heard, you cannot get the targa seals from the dealer anymore but it doesn't hurt to try. Hmmm. If they are still available, I need them because my drivers side leaks. But the last I heard there were only 5 available back in 08-09ish. I don't know if there was a TSB, I just know that sol's 95 and up had a redesigned seal.JustRob;265106 wrote:Honda still lists the weatherstripping and targa seals available and lists the part number the same from '93-'97. I got a hold of the water leak TSB today. It's a pretty intensive fix and even recommends special training before attempting to repair a leaking del Sol roof.
I'm going to assume that the car has never had the updated seals installed. So to fix the issue, you'll need the Roof Seal Kit: P/N 72999-SR2-999. Majestic Honda (Link posted in ymisoqt's previous post) shows that the kit is still available and is $402.87 shipped.
If you would like the complete 22 page TSB on how to fix the issue, PM me.

hmmm. I'm kind of interested in seeing the tsb now lol I'm going to call Majestic on the seals Monday because if they have them, that would be badass. That would mean I can finally do my interior and not worry about water on everything ha I've ordered stuff from Delray and it said it was in stock only to find out they no longer had it.
