Got in an accident, looking for a good shop

Post by Aramas »

Got into an accident. Idiot rear ends me and sends me into a truck in front of me, and the truck's tow hook punched into my radiator. Front bumper messed up. Rear bumper barely scratched, but the rear impact bar's edge broke through. Trunk and hood are a little unaligned. Front impact bar is also damaged. Not sure on further damage.

Currently it's at D&L Towing in Valley Park, pending a body shop to take it to.

Which body shop(s) would you guys recommend I look into within 30min to an hour of I guess the Manchester and 270 area or from Valley Park.

On a side note, wouldn't mind replacing the bumpers with the V6 Accord's bumpers since they're slightly different. If possible, get fog lights with the front bumper install, but I can deal with that at a later time and just use inserts from the coupe to cover it up for the time being.

Here's pictures of the damage if it'll help people figure out a recommendation. Also, the black pieces from the rear are from the Pontiac's headlight and fog inserts among other pieces of his bumper.

R&R Autoworks in Belleville IL, I know the owner, he's pretty good at getting you money back in your pocket.

Hey man. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mine while noted.

Still open to suggestions if there's anything closer.

Turks in arnold did my car and are good people and might work with you wanting the parts swapped out possibly. (depending on costs)

Meremac Heights collision (fenton/arnold 141 area) is also a good shop.

Those are the only 2 I can think of off hand that arent dealership bodyshops.
Otherwise West County Honda is on manchester in ellisville. (formerly vincel) I believe has a bodyshop.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

Id take it to a Honda dealer body shop myself. They usually guarantee the paint and work for life.

I'll keep that all noted, everyone. Worse case, I'll see if I can get St. Louis Acura to do the work since they're right around the block from my house if I go dealer-related, though I do have some in-direct modding I wouldn't mind a shop's help on XD

Ugh.....FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK.

Rage time. Turns out the punk gave us an expired policy number...Doesn't have insurance and trying to blame it on me.

That out of my system, I'll be sure to look into F&S as well.
