^^ Would be a hell of a lot cheaper. My car in my sig cost me roughly $30-$40 to do the whole car, its satin oxford blue. It was not the greatest job, but it was pretty good for a no booth garage job. I am sure some can attest to it. Just have to do the prep work right, no cutting corners. I would invest most in good tape.

This is true, a good satin finish that can withstand being out in the sun will cost the same and take the amount of prep work and a typical base/clear paint job.

It was a "quick fix" and it got the job done, but I won't be doing it again
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

Not all stain paints are cleared, yes they make a flat clear but not all of your flat paints use clear. And no stain clears do not have the same uv protection of your good quality clears do. I have also found out that its harder to spray flat or stain colors then it is to spray base/clear normally used. Trying to get the color to lay flat and even is a little harder. Not to pick anyone out but look at 99blackhatch's car, you can see its not all even, its just tough to get it perfect. Not sure if your car has the satin clear or not.

I didn't have a air compressor either, and not going to lie. I did most of my painting outside of the garage.
