get ahold of somebody that details cars. Wheel acid will liven that block up in a hurry! You'll have to stay on top of it though by coating it with something to prevent oxidation (that chalky look).stolle;216623 wrote:just wish i knew of an easy way to make the aluminum look better...

VHT Wrinkle paint in red?
Good deal man, I too sprayed my VC with VHT Wrinkle Red. Came out great and everyone that see's it, thanks its powder coated.
and it really does have a great texture to it.
heres a pic of mine, if u want me to delete it then I will, don't wanna clutter your thread with my b/s lol
During-sprays on just like spray paint

After- you can see the texture from pics, but its really detailed in person

thanks, no im not going to get rid of any casting marks or shave anything i dont really think i want to get into it that far. i like the writing on it and when you sand the paint off of it, the contrast of the letters and honda h look awesome. simple green is the shit.v-tecivic;216784 wrote:looking great so far! i love simple green, it works wonders. are you going to shave any of it? like little casting marks and such?
i thought about using an acid coil cleaner, i use that to clean air conditioners it makes the aluminum shiny...luvmyhondas;217056 wrote:get ahold of somebody that details cars. im hoping for a d-series type-r look lol, i like the way the wrinkle red looks, your VC looks good but i would wet sand the paint off the raised letters makes it looks 100 times better imho...JDM EM1;217058 wrote:Good deal man, I too sprayed my VC with VHT Wrinkle Red. Much better! Now get it on the car!
2008 Chevy Slobalt
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

i actually started with a razor blade and carefully shaved off the bulk of the paint, then followed it up with 400 grit on a sanding block. mine was easy, there wasnt a lot to hit, you could take some masking tape and stick it around the areas that you dont want to mess up. remember to go slow let the sand paper do the work and if the sand paper is getting clogged, wet sand it, a little water will work wonders.JDM EM1;217784 wrote:looks great man, too bad i suck at life and everytime i go to sand my letters down, i hit the actual vc and F it up.
