Where should I go for paint work?

Post by Fenian »

A & J Racing has a special right now on the J's Racing grill for the Fit. It's $100 off until the 1st of the year. However, before I pull the trigger, I want to know of a reputable place that would paint it without charging me an arm and a leg.

I saw another thread where people recommended a place in Troy, but I'd like to keep it local. Any suggestions?

Here is what the grill looks like installed.

I don't want to drive a little over an hour each way to drop off a grill.

Anyone recommend a local shop or person?

I would just go to a few local shops and ask. Good companies I know of are White, Hardt, Shaffer, or any dealer body shop will do good work as well. However these shops prob wont be the cheapest. I dont imagine having a grill painted would cost that much though expecially if the shop can mix the paint in house.

Edit...If you want a mom and pop shop there is one just north of 70 on Florissant Road called Memory Lane. I had some work done there years ago and the guy was telling me if you do this and prep that I can knock off X amount of money. They are up a hill but do have a sign on Florrisant Road

Peace

Thanks for the suggestions. I just wanted to see if anyone on here knew someone in particular to go to.

Getting a $300 grill for less than $200 shipped is a steal and I would love to have it.

TWB. I decided against the grill though. I bought springs and a c-pillar bar instead.

I'm also thinking about a PRM intake, though it is pricey.

TWB is the color I plan on painting my Accord. Close enough to the original that I can be lazy and not paint the trunk and door jams. Didn't you need help with your springs?

Yeah, I am waiting for the weather to improve. I don't have a garage and my driveway is sloped. I might buy some Tokico Blues before I put them on too.
