Engine bay idea

Im thinking of painting my Integras bay in a checker board pattern this winter and wondering what you guys think of the idea.
Would be kinda like this

but with red and black squares and probably bigger squares.
So good idea or bad idea?

is it worth the time and work for you? if so go for it, just seems a little overkill to me

Yeah it would be worth the time for me just to have something a little different and say i did it myself but what do you mean overkill, a lot of work just for an engine bay? lol

The idea has been goin threw my head for awhile. Hopefully i can get started sometime soon. Just gotta get another car to drive after my house closes. Pretty sure its gonna happen but was just looking for others opinions. Thanks guys
