New interior

Post by RBs93 »

so for my birthday today i spent most of my day overhauling my interior...im sure most of you have seen what it looked like before and lets for lack of a better word say it sucked! so today i dug out the c pillars, doors, and rear armrest section. here is one of the rear arm rest. its almost done, im going to take the the cloth section back out and coat it with some fabric protectant and waterproofer. also im thinking of using a non gloss laqure(not sure on the spelling) on the plasting that i re-dye'd to also help protect that.

lemme know what you guys think.....

after the dye was set in and good and dry i removed the arm rest from the rear pannel

after the arm rest was removed i cleaned it with warm water and dawn.

i added some plush padding to the Arm rest for personal pref.

after i couple fit testments i had the cloth stretched properly without it squishing all of the padding to much

as you can tell from the pictures the curves arent as purfect because of the padding.

- All in all I am very satisfied with the end result as of this far....

I was wanting to get a Few oppinoins on a few things.....would the headboard look way to flash if i did it with this instead of just a black re-dye?? also same for the rear window board where the 3rd brake lite sits( to flashy if i did it with this cloth?)

info is welcome. THanks ~RB

I think the headliner would look good, I would be worried about the rear deck fading a lot though. Unless it is automotive fabric, it is probably not UV protected.
