Hail dents

Post by 90b16hatchd »

Anyone have any ideas on getting hail dents out of the roof. I took the headliner out and i'll be getting a new one from napelton. For the hood I'll probably just get a new one. Too much of a pain in the ass to fix a hood. I was thinking about a cf roof cap but I don't know if that would look good on a tan car.

Hey I have herd that you can get the hail dents out with dry ice

Woring with metal with aircraft for a while now the princaple seems like it would work

It only will work on the dents that dont have a creese

step 1 get a heat gun and heat up the dimple till it hot

step 2. get the dry ice and work it around the out side of the dimple working it in.

what it does is that it takes the metal to to diffrent extreems really quikly from hot to cold and cold being the most extreem witch shrinks the metal back in its place

Sweet. I'll have to try that. I've heard about that but I have also heard that it doesn't work. I'll try it anyway.
