Spray painting carpet??

oh made it very stiff but still looks good if you do it spray it and after it drys rub your hands ot scuff it in the oppisite direction and respray. you know?

i used i think vht vinyl and fabric spray like 4 bux ill give u the rest of mine. still looks real good after 2 years

for people who dont have time to take all the carpet out can it be done inside the car? and will it work on seats and door panels to?

If you feel safe enough to sit in spray painted material... have at it and tell us how it works out on a hot day on you way to the office when it color changes your pants. Lol

i spray painted my carpet 6 years ago. its still black.

Just sounds like a bad idea and a gamble in my opinion when there are other more full proof methods.

That's what i did... It wasn't hard at all. Easiest swap I've ever done interior wise.

Ive always used rit dye. Spray it on scrub it in let it sit for a day or so rinse it out and if you need to go darker repeat. (only done this when going to black). Just mix it in a spray bottle with some hot water and salt. Wear some crappy clothes. the carpet will still be soft and not hard. And if you rinse it out it wont come off on your clothes. (the stuff is made to dye clothes with after all).

Plus its cheap for a bottle of it at walmart (think 5 bux...) and that should do just about every piece of carpet in the car.

This sounds like the next best idea to replacing it completely. Dye > paint.
