Well if you dont plan on doing metal replacement then do fiberglass and im working on my car right now on my own for rust remove at least and im just using a sandgun and its stripping off pretty good just depends how deep it is and the depth of the pits also.

You could do alot of sanding yourself with just a sandgun then fiberglass it over and then resand it down and remove the rest of the deep rust is what I was taught then do the final fiberglass good so its strong. Dont let people complain how your using fiberglass there picky on here so your going to get it.Im not for sure exactly what would be best to use on deep rust because sand guns only go so far and I was using some really heavy ass sandpaper on mine.

I'm no body specialist but you might not be able to get by with just some fiberglass

Dont listen to him fiberglass will clearly fix that little bit ive seen both quarters almost the whole things done fiberglass.Fiberglass is pretty strong if its done by the proper people and multiple coats are done and stripped to make it stronger.

hey stupid.

covering rusted metal with fiberglass dosent stop the rust process.

if your going to bother doing it, do it right.

Um correction yes it does.MAybe if your a moron and dont remove all the rust it wont stop it but if you remove the rust it will hold just like any other fiberglass that you are smart with.Coming from a family that deals with charlies autobody down the road from broadway has fiberglass tons of rust and if its ALL removed it comes out fine at the end.ALOTTT cheaper you just sacrafise some strength
