radiator core support?

Post by singleslammer »

Anyone replaced a radiator core support on an EG? My 94 CX has taken a hit in the front passenger side sometime in its past and is a little banged up. It isn't bad enough to need replacing to be street legal, but it does make my head lights uneven and causes me to cringe when I open the hood. It also forces the radiator to sit a bit to far back so it doesn't appear to be as close to the care support as it should. Anyway, I haven't really messed with body work ever and was wondering if this was something that a noob could be in a garage or should I not worry/take it to a body shop?

if you want to worry about it. you might PM "T-Rock" about it. he would have the best advice as far as that goes...

replacing it isnt hard, just annoying and requires lots of beer.

GL sir..

(and if it were my car, id fix it)

its easy for me. dont know if its easy for you...

youll have to strip the whole front end, drill out the many spot welds holding it on, put new one on and get everything lined up right and spot weld it all around. you CANNOT simply just bolt the new one back on.
