how do I take these door trims pieces off!?

on the topic of doors, the chunk of plastic on the outside bout a foot from the bottom of the car. That trim piece that stretches t he length of the car. Has any taken that off? does it just pop on and off? if so is anyone kno if there is paint under it? like could i just pop it off and buff the paint out and bam, didn't even notice they were there type time? of are there like holes from screws and such.??? thanks

They pop off, and if you're extra careful, they may come off in one piece (unlikely but worth a shot). Yes, there is paint under there, and there are also holes that would need to be filled in where the clips were.
