Crank spin free?
I just got my bottom case together using clamps and equally pulling it together. Now that its together once i put the bolts in and TQ them down doing it the right way (1/4 TQ 1/2 TQ and full TQ. Also why doing that in a criss cross pattern.) The crank seems to tighten up. That isnt normal is it? It should spin free as butter?

Crank spin free?
How tight are we talking about here? Like it takes a little effort to move it or is it a signifigant(say a 4cyl with plugs still in)

Crank spin free?
Like a night and day difference. Before i tighten it i can spin it and if the rod didnt hit the sides it would do a full revolution. Once i tighten them the only spinning is when my hands doing the spinning.

Looking at your video it looks like his spins free as he puts the flywheel on.

Crank spin free?
Um no. The crank is just in the bearings at the time being. Not hooked up to the tranny at all. So far i have the tranny assembled, bearings in, crank in, and case together.
Thanks for helping me with this.

Crank spin free?
Ya i replaced bearings, seals, crank, and gaskets. Once i get this problem fixed i have a honed cylinder, new piston, rings, clips, head, gaskets, and clutch cover. All this stuff is new.

Crank spin free?
I went up to donelso cycles today and took the engine up there with me. He looked at the engine and spun the crank and said all is normal. He said its normal for the crank to have resistance when spinning after the bolts are tightened.
