2009 Honda Ruckus

Post by drock46 »

I've only gotten mine up to 35 on my road in front of my house, but they say after my first oil change the top end will increase for whatever reason they are known to come over filled and that messes with the top end, but who knows. I'm also a descent sized guy (220lb) but everything I've read says 45 is usual top speed for a 2009.

I was thinking of getting one for the summer, but the guy at St. Charles Motorsports said that LEGALY you can't go over 35 MPH on a scooter without a motorcycle license, insurance, and motorcycle tags. And it can't be over 5 HP, so if you modify and the cop is a douche they can get you into some shit, wanted to know how true all this is, Discuss.
