Problem with aftermarket stereo

When i plug up my aftermarket stereo it dosen't work and when i tried plugin in my cousins aftermarket stereo from his car that worked it didn't work either. Just the stock unit works and i was hoping y'all could help me out.

What do you mean by doesnt work? Doesnt power up, or no sound comes out? Should be pretty easy to troubleshoot.

did you use the same harness for both of the aftermarket units you tried, or different ones?

you need to put in a ground

Meter it and see if your getting accessory, 12 volt constant and ground. Could be a bad ground, could be a blown fuse. or could be wired up wrong.
