weird power off problem

Mono Amp
Wired at 1 ohm pushing 900w RMS

Im gonna change my setup
gonna wire at 4 ohm and push 600w RMS,

and gonna readjust my gain.

that is what i would do what amp is it?

that sounds like possibly a ohmage problem or a bad ground. and you gotta be careful with a bad ground cause you can fry your amp or head unit... believe me, i did it to my brothers amp... he wasnt happy

actually its not a resistance problem, my amp is 1 ohm stable, but actually my sub isnt wired to 1 ohm i dont beleive, and if it is its pushing 1200w rms. i gotta take it out and look, i honestly forget what my VCs are on the sub. and ive been running this setup in my last integra and it worked fine.

but yeah the HU is shutting off. not the amp.

turns out my sub is wired for 1 ohm at 1200w RMS.

my sub is a DVC 2ohm so ima go ahead and wire it to 4ohms

putting out 425w RMS

My amp is a Orion HCCA-D2400

1x425wrms @ 4ohm
1x800wrms @ 2ohm
1x1200wrms @ 1ohm

tim b16ars asked me if i had any blown speakers, I removed the two rear speakers and wallah. headunit does not power off anymore. thx. hopefulley it's solved for now.
