well it seems my car has some electrical problems or something.
first the no start thing,
and now this.
when i turn my headunit up to around 16 or so, it just shuts off, first I had thought this was from the amp maybe,
but I unplugged the amp, and turned the headunit up again, and once it gets to high it shuts off. It also does this with the amp in, its kind of random, hard to pinpoint and get it to recreate the problem sometimes.
think maybe something is wired wrong? im not sure what would cause this, but maybe I should check this wiring, im sure its fked like every other part of the car.

It's hard to tell without seeing the wiring. If you can pull your deck out and take good pics of your wires. Is it a 4 channel amp that you have on it or a mono/2 channel amp? also is the whole unit shutting off or just the sound cutting out?
as for as it starting, is your starter clicking over? if it's not hit it with a hammer and it should start up but that means you have a bad starter

the head unit and the amp both shut off.
when I unhook the amp, the headunit shuts off still.
I guess i might pull the deck out today and take a look at the wires, make sure nothing is grounding, and make sure everything looks correct.
as for the starting problem beleive me it's not the starter = http://stlhondas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11361
it's an electrical issue, and we think we may have narrowed it down to a bad plug, or bad connection from fuse box to ignition switch.

It’s obvious why the amp is turning off… once the H/U turns off so does the remote lead to the amp.. sounds like you need to test voltage to the H/U and maybe run a dedicated ground. Or it could be as simple as a bad H/U… see if you can borrow one for a quick test

well I pulled it out, I dont see any open wires or bad connections, everything is together soldered and heatshrunk, or with these little cap things. uhmm there seems to be some ground, not sure what it's to, but its hooked up to the center console brace, and the brace is all rusted... hmm. Guess I gotta figure out where that ground is actually going to. and damn sure hope my HU is not going bad, I have a few others I guess I can test out. ill update after I look at this gorund, and maybe put it somewhere else if it is infact the HU ground.
also another weird thing,
say im listeing to music at like 8, then i turn it up to say 12. It plays fine for about 5 mins, then it shuts off randomly. And It seems to shut off when im stopped or moving slowly, but when im on the highway, i gotta turn it up to say 14 to shut off. But that im not postive on the moving, and stopped thing, guess i will play with it on the way home.

weird power off problem
well it seems on my ride home it didnt shut off at all....
maybe its just sucking too much power for real...
so what Im going to try to do tonight is this..
Current Setup
Mono Amp
Wired at 1 ohm pushing 900w RMS
Im gonna change my setup
gonna wire at 4 ohm and push 600w RMS,
and gonna readjust my gain.

what amp do you have? It might just not be a 1 ohm stable amp so hopefully droping the ohms will fix your problem

if your hu is shutting off it has nothing to do with what resistance your amp is seeing.... now if your hu stays on then it's possibly a problem with your amp... maybe wired to low of a resistance... bad ground... bad remote lead... etc....

You live pretty close to me, if you want a hand looking at it just let me know and i'll bring some tools home from work and do some tests.
