Probably more of a question for Chris, but Im just trying to double check.
Im using winISP for the first time, so im not 100% sure im doing it right.
Basically, the setup is 2 12inch Bravox UXPs.
Internal airspace is 3.22cu.ft before sub displacement, and port displacement.
I was looking to tune it for about 33hz.
Would a 2x10 Vent that 12inchs long accomplish this? Or am I way off? Thanks.
Also, the box design is basically a wedge box style, but the subs will be on the flat/straight down side, not the slanted side. The box will be 24 inchs tall, would be ok to also put the vent on this same wall of the subs? With the subs being roughly 4inchs apart, would a 10inch wide vent right above that area, change anything?
Port tuning question.

Port tuning question.

" Match The Right Sub(s) To the Space
Here is the method for matching the subs to the space:
8" woofer- .7 - 1.0 Cubic Feet
10" woofer- 1.2 - 1.5 Cubic Feet
12" woofer- 1.7 - 2.5 Cubic Feet
15" woofer- 3.0 - 4.5 Cubic Feet
THE DD PORT
The port formula for the above box sizes is as follows: 15-16 square inches of port area per cubic foot of box volume, make the port 16 inches deep. The port is tuned to the box volume, not the subs.
Once you determine how much space you have available, divide the sub(s) into that space. Don't cram the space, its better to error on the big side than the small side. A 10" sub will outperform a 12" sub if the space isn't big enough.
The proper combination of a vented enclosure coupled to a driver that is suited for this application can give a substantial increase in output for a given input power and yield outstanding SQ. A vented enclosure has increased output due to the fact that it has an increased effective radiating area. "

Port tuning question.
Do you think that a 3.22 box is too small for them?
I was wanting to put my battery next to the box, but if I dont I can make the box wide enough to go up to 4.1 cu.ft.
Is this an ok place for a port?
Sorry for all the questions, Im just trying to make this sound as loud as possible, since im dropping down from 4 12s, to 2 12s.

Port tuning question.
Yea, I ended up building the box, was done, and just couldnt do it. So I went back to the 4 12s, and im now trying to finish it up cleanly. I got a face plate built thats actually molded to the walls, and I got all 2500 RMS back in and tuned, Just need to start making it look pretty.
I am considering selling my 4 Bravox UXPs, and going with a better 12, but not sure what to go with that will be louder on just 500 RMS each. Oh well.
