I sent this to chris(N2HIFI), but I figured I'd just post it on here too. I've got the power wire run already, and I'm getting ready to run everything else. I have a couple of questions/ about a some things. The basic setup I'm doing is a 2 channel amp running a 10" sub. I am also running a 4 channel amp that will be powering the fronts and rears. These will all be running off of the Kenwood head unit.
RCA Wires:
Is it okay to run all 3 sets close to each other? I know speaker wires/ the power wire needs to be split up, but is this the same for the rca's?
I have 3 sets of rca's that came with the stuff I bought. I have 2 long sets and 1 short. Can I run the short rca set from the 4 channels preouts and plug it into the 2 channel amps 1&2 channel? (I'm guessing the previous owner didn't have 3 sets of preouts on the cd player, so this may have been how they ran it.)
Remote Wire- The stuff I have only came with 1 of these. Do I need to run two separate ones, or can I splice/ Y the end and run one to each of the amps? Do I just run it to one of the amps, if so which one?
Finally my speaker configuration options:
In the front I'm going to be running some focal polyglass 2 ways, for now. These will be using the polk crossovers.
In the rear I have a couple of options. I'm not sure which I want to run.
1st set: pioneer (cheaper) 6.5"
2nd set: Boston FX93 6x9's
3rd set: polk DB 6500 components (missing one tweeter, so it would just be running the lows.)
I've heard that many people don't even run rear speakers, as it can mess up the "sound stage" I'm not very into the technical knowledge of this stuff, so I figured I would ask.

joe you will want to run that 3rd set of rcas to the back of the radio, that bad ass kenwood has a dedicated subwoofer output and will give you dedicated subwoofer controll through the radio.
Running the 3 rca's together will be fine and you can also run the remote that way also with no worries and you will only need to trun one remote wire and then loop it to the second amp.
now as far as speakers go, don't waaste alot of money on the rear speakers, consider them just fill so if you all ready have adecent set of rear speakers then i would just use them and keep them at moderate level off the amp.
90% of every soundQ car i have ever built never used rear speakers because when you go to a concert all the main sound comes from infront of you but you do get a ambiance and fill effect from the music reverbing off the walls behind you. So rear speakers are up to you but since your using a amp you will be able to controll the amount of fill they will provide.
hope this helps

Thanks a ton guys. I've been wiring all day and I definitely won't be going with any rear speakers. Looks like I'll have alot of manual reading to do, so I can eventually set everything.
