Lag lately has been abnormally bad.

Surely I am not the only one to notice.

Getting alot of lag which seems to be getting very bad lately to the point where it will take a minute or even 2 before sometimes the site will respond.

It used to be pretty good, even with the shoutbox up until recently.

Just figured I would post something to bring it to the attention of others.

umm yeah its a little laggy although I'm a little new here so I don't really have anything to go by except from using other forums also. I was thinking it was maybe the shoutbox frame causing it but who knows.

no. same host its been with for almost three years.

and it doesnt seem to be anything with the new shoutbox or forum skin, i had them up and running for several weeks before stolle took control.

the host is throttling our cpu usage on the server, for one reason or another they say its because theres a script making too many queries and or a site addon that was poorly written.

so are we planning on letting that be our final resolution to this issue?

or should we maybe see what inquiries are running abnormally high and maybe try to reduce the inquiries so that the site can run like it should?

i think we need to sit down and optimize and repair the database.
