more tech?

Post by LowePerf »

I could write tech articles all day. I just don't really know what would be interesting to you guys. If you have a subject your interested in and can't find the info you want why not post it up and someone with the information could write something. The good ones could then be stickied in the right section.
The only real problem with this is you usually have that one guy that thinks he knows everything post in the thread something totally wrong, then you spend 10 pages trying to defend yourself. So maybe a little mod action cleaning up these threads would be in order. Or lock them, but then nobody could ask questions about something they didn't understand. Just my .02

I mean any person can do body work, its just the fact of making it look good. Not anyone can take an engine apart and put it back together AND work so they take it to people. Body work really doesnt effect how you go down the road its just what you look like riding down the street.
so if your making money off this site shouldnt you guys be a sponsor?:PDT_popc:

shes saying that she does body work, but i do not see anywhere that she states shes making money off of the site. im sure that if that were the case she would talk to me about becoming a sponsor.

now keep the thread on topic or itll get cleaned up and/or locked.

If you won't even help people with body work, cuz it might affect your money, why would you help them with anything else? If you did build a bad ass H22, would you help someone build one exactly like it? After you did all the research yourself, all the trail and errors of seeing what works, all the money you spent getting thing done most likely more than once, and finally having it yours. You would let someone just copy cat your shit, and not even care.
lets not also forget that there are a few people from this site who do build motors for other members and receive compensation for that work .. these people who DO have the ability to build motors probley wont be so hip to do write ups on how to build a motor, head swap or anything that might also take money out of their pocket.

this is the same reason steph does not want to do write ups on how to do body work.

but both these reasons are mute because there are PLENTY of sites for people to search to find this information .. the only reasons they would want the info on this is site is because they are to lazy to look other places or to do their own work and find the info themselves.

so what are you saying? You would rather this be more of a hang out website instead of informational website? If people see that there is a ton of information on this site I bet you it would pull more people onto the site making the site bigger and a lot more usefull.

and yeah there are plenty of sites I just think if people quit being so ignorant towards people who ask questions this could be one of the sites a lot of people come to. people seem to shun a lot of people away with their im better than you attitude.

well judging by the title of this thread, I would like to see more tech information on this site. And that this site COULD be one of those "popular" sites people come to for that information on how to do things or how to install things etc.

I have seen in quite a few threads that if someone says something that isnt 100% correct or isn't even correct at all they get bashed instead of being corrected and then the subject has been moved on in the right direction.

WE JUST NEED MORE USEFUL TECH THREADS
