the problem with smilies in the shoutbox means i will have to enable pictures too. and we all know how annoying pictures are in the shoutbox.

I can understand that. Id suggest adding to the rules. Kinda like no selling in the shoutbox, no actual pics in teh shoutbox. Links would be cool though. I'll enforce it, with my mad Master Tech skills.

isnt there a way to restrict the pixel size in the box? just a thought....i worked that kind of thing with a java chat room/shoutbox as well as used it in flash styles too
