Sponsors????

Hey Rick, Are we ever gonna get some sponsors on here? Just asking because the Car Audio shop at my work might be looking to throw it's name out there. Just curious if it was ever thought about. :dunno:

I think he'd love to work out some sponsorship. the site unfortunately doesn't pay for itself...

that would be great if we got some sponsors.. maybe a place that has dynos or something, or audio... idk that seems like a good ideal BUT a lot of work at the sametime..

great idea, but i would like to have the people on here recommend some places that they would like to see become sponsors. i believe if we get places that people want, it will help benefit the site, the people, and the sponsors better.

Agreed, having a sponsor that 1. doesn't benefit us, and 2. we don't benefit it (no patronage) isn't a worthwhile sponsor. Additionally, having a sponsor that does shoddy work or has poor ethics can reflect back on the site as well.

now having a sponser would be cool...now we just have to find someone that will have the best intrest on both sides... im thinking sumthing like performance parts because who cares about audio..im talking speed not beats...time to start looking...

I agree with the performance parts idea as just one of a few sponsors we can try to find.
Remember, even though they mainly deal in car audio, they would be willing to let us use their lot for shows and events to promote the site as well as themselves. Not a bad deal considering how big their stores and lots are!

you should really think about sonic too...whether or not they'd go for it is a different story (depends if it's franchised or corporate too).

consider this:
Sonic sponsors us, and gives us discounts at sonic.
Naturally, we go to sonic more often for events.
If these events turn into decent sized ordeals (15+ cars?), we can go to a performance shop and say "look, we have events with X cars every week! Each person there could benefit from your shop. How about you give us a little break, we'll generate an increase in your business's patronage, not just from members going, but from the referrals about your cheap prices, huge part selection and quality workmanship?"

Bingo Bango Bongo. That's a done deal.

sonic should i drive 120 miles each way just to go and hang out once a month. we also need a motel hook up for me. i like extended stay america but man im broke these trips are like 200 bucks a month for me haha
