Splitting up the generations?

I know this might make the website more complicated, but have you considered splitting the forums into certain years like on rohc tha sohc. It can be done for the civic prelude and tegs. I think it would help with being more specific on the technical issues, just my .02

eh, most of them use similar engines tho... especially with how common swaps are these days. I think it might just work to divide the forums more.
so maybe into engine series or something? to make tech questions easier... i dont know.
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

Splitting up the generations?

both good ideas, and ive been thinking about splitting them up. but i dont want to make it too complicated.

one thought i had was to make just one forum for anything that isnt honda/acura related and then splitting the hondas and acuras up into different years. another is to maybe keep it just like it is, but somewhere insert different forums for stuff like suspension, engines/engine swaps, exterior, interior, etc. but then might make it too complicated too.

one thing we do need is for more people on here that dont know much about working on their car. i know i have met over half, more like 3/4 to 7/8 of the people on this forum and i know that most of you know a decent amount about hondas and dont really have many questions to ask about.

depending on what stolle does with rohc tha sohc... if it stays online, i dont want this to be just a glorified version of his site. he created that site and needs the credit of what he created. i think it would be a low blow to take his ideas. but also, just because this site is up dont forget about his site.

on the other hand, if he takes it offline.... maybe we can/will kinda migrate the two sites... take the best of both forums and make it into one.

splitting them up into different engine series is a neat idea. dont really know if would work or not.

long winded post... but hopefully answers questions throughly.

this is exactly what i was thinking while i was posting my message. theres no point of us both having a forum we would be competing in one form or another. why not merge the two take the best of both and put them together.
