A while back I posted that thread about the run with the sti while in the S2000. Since then I had nothing until the last two weeks.
Not proud of this one but the guy was antagonizing me in an 05-09 automatic v6 mustang. I know I know...well I pulled 3-4 from 45-100.
Two nights ago I believe it was an Infiniti M35. Auto, sedan, M car is all I know. I was in 2nd at 25 and he just nailed it. He pulled about 3/4 of a car before I was able to stop his pull and start creepin' back up. At the top of 2nd I had evened us out but he let off instantly.
Tonight on 44 I ran a 350z. From 60 I got a bit of a bump and by 100 I pulled half a car. Then ran again from 45-95ish with him getting the bump and pulling about a car. It seemed with him we were dead even, it just depended who got the hit. I was very pleased with the run against the 350z because I was lead to believe those cars were quite a bit quicker than the s2000's.

Good kills, not knocking your car but maybe you have a factory freak? Somedays I feel like my car runs better than it should to. Or maybe I don't give it enough credit.

I know what you're saying. I've only driven this s2k so I have nothing to compare it to. I know mine runs well for what it is but I would be hesitant to call it a factory freak. It just has a strong motor for its age (111k miles).Thatoneguy;270647 wrote:Good kills, not knocking your car but maybe you have a factory freak? But really that M car I pulled on from what I've found online was rated at a high 14 1/4 and the 350's are what? low 14's/high 13's? I know the s2k's when driven well have dipped into the 13's but mostly have yielded low 14's. This is bench racing yes, but given the cars I think it depends on the speed, gear, driver's ability etc.

Have you run any Ap1's? I know the Ap2's come with that bit more powerful motor but am curious as to what kind of differences that 1k rpm redline difference makes.ryansDc5;270644 wrote:erik raced a 350 in my car one night, and he held him by like half a car up to 120
Something that I wonder to is if the 350z was an auto tonight. I'm leaning towards yes (at least it seemed like it) so that may have a lot to do with things.

i thought ap2 had a better power curve. i remember looking at a dyno chart somewhere a long time ago. the ap1 was all over the place and ap2 was a bit smoother.00siandrew;270656 wrote:Have you run any Ap1's? Yeah that's what I was thinking (and posted the second time around). I am willing to bet he was auto.delslo;270665 wrote:My 350z always won against a s2k.. was he auto? shifting at 5k?

never ran a ap1, but then again I don't race. I have too much on the line if I do race, and I don't feel like sitting in jail for 14 years. If an AP1 ever comes along and wants to run and I'm with someone I trust i'll let them drive my car and race the car though.00siandrew;270656 wrote:Have you run any Ap1's?
