Wrong, they don't make a 4.0 GT. They had a 3.9 v6 in the 96-04 Mustangs, a 4.0 v6 in the 05-10 Mustanges. The new 11+ are a 3.7 v6, and they're the only ones to get a rear bumper that looks like a GT from the factory. From 96-04, the GT's were a 4.6 2v V8. The 05-10 were a 4.6 3v V8.

umm yes they do its a rare package i know the kid that has it and im pretty sure i know alot about mustangs and the 4.0 gt comes with dual exhuast and the gt back bumper.... its just a ground effects kit to make ur v6 look like a gt and i do know all about that kind of stuff im more of a ford person than a honda person and if it was the v6 with exhaust i could see how he would lose to those they are slow. how long did it take u to look up those specs haha.

It didn't take me any time at all, seeing as how I've had 2 Mustangs previously and know way more than you apparently. You've been fed so much misinformation it's more funny than sad really. Ford has NEVER made a 4.0 v6 until the s197 body style.

Edit: Just want to clarify this a little more; Ford has NEVER made a 4.0 v6 in the Mustang until the s197 body style. They had a 3.8 94-98 and a 3.9 from 99-04 (may have still been a 3.8 in some of the early run new edge cars, I've seen them both ways), and then a 4.0 from 05-09 and now a 3.7. Also, they haven't given the v6 a bumper with dual cutouts for the exhaust until the 11' model year either. They did make a 3.0 and a 4.0 for the Ranger though

im pretty sure u just contredicted ur self a 5th gen is an 05-10.... do u want me to get a damn picture to show u... damn ur dumb and i never said they made a 4.0 in the older body mustangs u brought that one up and i never argued that. i just said i know a guy with a 4.0 gt V6 and it is a package u can get from the dealer and they will put the dual exhuast and the back bumper and front bumper on it to make it look like a real gt....

Go back and read what you originally typed. You said that Ford made a 4.0 GT in your first post, that is where I proved you wrong. You kept up your line of shit spewing, so I proved you wrong. I admitted the Ford did produce a 4.0 v6 car in the 5th gen (05-09) and also that they weren't ever sold to look like a GT from the factory. You have to buy the front and rear fascias separately and then have a dealer/shop install them, but they never came that way from the factory. Like I said, stick to what you know, cause it's obviously not Mustangs

I'm just arguing about the misinformation that's being spread about Mustangs in general, it just happens that it's about v6's this time.

We could argue about v6 Sentras...... :chin:
