Diesel Truck

Post by Sleepy Civic DX »

I took my sedan out for a spin tonight and found a black lifted dodge ram (newer body style) with exhaust, gauges, and a whistling turbo pacing me on 61/67.

Slowed down to 40 and slipped it into second gear. My car yelped loudly when I dropped the clutch. By 70 he was at my bumper and slowly fading. I let off.

He pulled up again and we slowed down to 30. I slipped it in second again, opened my exhaust cutout (for fun), and dropped the clutch. he pulled a quarter car on me when we started but I had him at my rear door again by around 80.

Then I had to turn off on to my street. He gave me a thumbs down when I pulled off the road. This is better than the middle finger I normally get, so I will take that as a compliment.

On a side note the truck emitted so much black exhaust that it smogged the road behind us. I could see the headlights of the cars behind us swerving around. These are the things I miss and things I could never do in the Fit, I am so glad I didn't trade in my civic when I bought the Fit!

diesel guys just cant accept losing to a honda lol. ive beat some and they act really pissed that their truck got beat by a civic. i dont get it but they seem to get really pissy when that happens. i had a chipped chevy diesel try racing me on 44 and we were dead even and he looked pissed off lol

I don't see most Cummins losing to a honda unless it has a decent amount done...

a new stock cummins isnt that fast, a swapped honda can keep up or beat them. but then again how many people own a cummins and dont get the chips for them that give them rediculos amounts of tourque.

stock diesels are poop! but a chipped diesel has way too much power for just a swapped honda to keep up.

Thats why I wanted to post this one, I usually get thunked on by diesels, this is the first time I actually was able to keep up with one....Maybe this one wasn't as modified as I thought from what you guys are saying.

i have beat numerous diesels in my coupe and its by no means fast. whether it be dodge, ford, chevy i have beat a good number of them on the highway.

i had a guy in a chipped chevy diesel that couldnt pull on me. i saw the little screen on his dash that some of the programmers come with and he couldnt pull on me. stayed side by side. most of the diesels i have raced stay by me until we get up to about 100 then i pull on them. at least thats how it has happened in the cases ive messed with them. dont get me wrong there are some NASTY cummins down here i wont mess with but not all diesels are that fast. had a hot blonde chick in a new cummins messing with me and tried to keep me from passing her lol. didnt work. i heard her downshift and saw the black smoke and still went right around her.

oh i hear you on that... ive beat up on a couple diesels through twisties and some straights and i only have an integra Ls. but i raced one guy in a lifted cummins that was nasty. from a 40 roll he must ave hit 100 before i could even reach 60. it was ungodly fast
