98 GT & Cavaqueer

this was last weekend

My friend had gotten a 98 mustang gt a few weeks back and he took it out with a few of my other myfriends. We did 2 races from a stop.

1st race I was to focused on honking that I didnt see what RPM I was at and when I launched I looked down and I was at 2k :nervous:. He had about 3 cars on me from the start but by the end of 2nd I was up by 1 1/2 cars. I shut down at about 100mph with close to 5 cars.

2nd race I launched at 6k :wink2: and we were both even while we were spinning, I got traction then shifted to 2nd and put 1 1/2 cars on him. By 100mph I was a bus and a half prolly then he shut down. I then tried to top out going slightly uphill.

3rd race was both my friends, the 98 mustang gt vs. the 03 cavalier (w/intake) they are both 5 speeds.
I lined up behind them and did the honking
The cavalier won the first race by about a car (after I honk I slowly cruise 1st then punch it to catch up)

4th race They lined up again and this time the gt got a better launch and won by about 2 cars, I ended up catching both of them and had to hit the brakes because they have zero ass up top.

my friend in the cavalier knew he would lose to me so he didnt want to race

i know GT's are slow, but are they that slow that a cavy can keep up?

ya, i thought it was weird, but to the gt's defense; he did spin alot through first

I hate to say it but your friend with the stang can not drive. I could cut a 1.8 60foot is a stock as a rock gt stang. tell him not to ricer launch it at 5 grand lmfao. 2500 and slip the clutch that is all that needs to be said for your boy. Good kill on your part man (wasn't dissing the loss to you just to the cavi)
