It was a grueling race, but I emerged the victor

Post by Sleepy Civic DX »

I was driving to work this morning at around 6:00 a.m. When I noticed I was being tailed by a car. So I did what I normally do, I slowed down to 5 below the speed limit. This forced my "tail-gater" to swerve over and pull up next to me, it was at this time I saw my enemy.

The Toyota Corolla has its early roots in road racing in Japan.

This one did not.

This early 1990s white corolla was equipped with several rust spots, a street glow sticker, and virtually no exhaust. I was even more suprised when I started to barely pull on him (surely my car must be faster??), so then I shifted out of 5th gear.

The race was intense to say the least, when I was done I could not even see my challenger in my rear view mirror, but about five seconds later he screamed past me at around 110 mph.

The moral of my race today is even if your friends, family, coworkers, dis you because you drive a modified honda, remember there is always a step lower, you could be driving a riced out corolla.
