Its been so long since I've trully felt speed. It's been so long since I've had a true adrenaline rush. I couldn't hold out any longer. I had to see what the CRX felt like. So I found my self hitting the highway around midnight tonight to see what she could do.

I set the boost controller to stock boost and entered the highway, and immediatly open it up a bit. One exit later I see the mark. It was like a 2000ish burnt orange neon with black racing stripe down the middle, black wheels with polished lip, and IL plates. Not much to write home about but it'll have to do. So I pace him, drop down a gear, and put a pleasing amount of buses on him. And it was over, I shut it down and got off the highway.

The CRX felt pretty good to had just been at stock boost. It hit 105 mph without hesitation. I have no doubt that the CRX could max out the speedometer if I was brave enough to do so.

Well again, I know this wasn't the best opponent but I needed to get my confidence up before taking on a stonger car. So somebody had to go down. I have to admit though, I wasn't terribly excited after stomping on the Neon. I felt rather empty actually. A few years ago, I probably would have shat myself but this time I just thought to myself (that's it?)

Well even though it wasn't the best kill I hope you enjoyed the story. It is my first (race) in many years.

Did he accelerate or did you just pace him and then pull away?

He actually accelerated first after I downshifted. Sorry for leaving that out.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he was talking stock boost from whatever the turbo cam off of....

you cut off the boost controller, it sets the turbo to stock boost.

That sets the boost at whatever the wastegate spring is...
