Killed by old man in buick...

Post by 00siandrew »

I thought this was hilarious and figured Id share. I was heading east on gravois (30) and going to be makin the left onto 270 north. The light before the intersection I only had to slow to a role and took off again in second. As Im casually accelerating I hear this car come screaming up next to me and look over just in time so see what looked like to be about an 80 year old man go whizzing by in his buick. We get through the next light and are making the left onto the ramp. I figure he will do it again so I stick next to him, again casually accelerting through the turn. Sure enough, once we both got out of the turn I hear it again. The engine screams, the transmission downshifts, the tires bark, and his old wrinkled head snaps back as he goes haulin' ass down the ramp. I just sat back laughing my butt off.

Buicks can be fast, depending on the car...

Turbo Gran National
Skylark GS
Gran Sport 455
GSX. 400 or so GSX's were produced, in the day they were of equal value, luxury and power of a Hemi Cuda.

Oh yeah youre right, but this was not a v8 rear wheel or 3.8 turbo rear wheel buick. It was a buick regal or something like that, in the 2000's. Im thinking it was a 3.8 v6...or a 3.1, but probably a 3.8.

alot of the later model fwd buicks (regal GS, park avenue ultra, riviera) had a supercharged 3.8 that have the potential to lay down the hurt. I also know that there are a few SLP Regal GSXs in town
