raced a 06-07 corvette zo6 (race 3 of 3 for the night)

after getting off of highway 40 and onto 270, i wanted another run at the zo6. after all, he didnt quite play fair when he wouldnt even let me get next to him to race. so i pull up next to him, look over, and he just keeps looking forwards. boner and i both agreed that he was done for the night.

about two miles up the road, i looked to the back in the fast lane and noticed a zo6 coming up on me pretty rapidly. not as fast as the last time, this time more of going about 80mph. when he got next to me, i was ready, i downshifted into 3rd, floored it, and dumped the clutch. tires chirpped and the honda was off. the zo6 did the same, down shifted, tires chirpped and then instead of going, he stopped. as im wondering in awe whats going on, i slow down so we can get a second chance at the launches. when both boner and i was like, "what the *uck??!?!?!" to the left of us noticed an impala that had some writing on the side of it, and had thes red, blue, and white lights flashing in all directions. boner and i both were like, "we're going to jail." i started to slow down, and the impala kept following the zo6. the zo6 pulls over to the side of the road, the impala followed, and the honda rode steady all the way home. end of race. zo6 - 0, rickles - 1, impala - >*

thats the thing. we didnt fly past him. he was right behind the corvette and diagonally behind me to the left when we both dropped gear and started to take off. we only went from about 60mph to 70mph then stopped. he could have easily pulled me over just as easily as the corvette, but like boner stated before any of the two races, "a cop will pull that corvette over before they pull us over."

that happened when I was running a friends viper. The cop got behind the viper for a couple minutes, then decided to pass him up to pull me over.

only moving violation ticket I have ever gotten (85 in 65).

i hate that feeling, when you almost KNOW that you are getting pulled over. i almost died when i passed a cop goin 110 and racing a 300c. didnt come after us tho, but i was on edge forever
