raced a 06-07 corvette zo6 (race 2 of 3 for the night)

after getting some refreshments at the chesterfield sonic, it was time for us old fogeys to get home so we could get to bed. as i was leaving the parking lot, a red zo6 pulls out in front of us and ended up going the same direction as us. we get onto highway 40 and stayed behind the zo6 for a mile or two and then got into the fast lane and slowly passed him. (not trying to race or anything) then about four miles up the road he went flying past us going well over 100mph then slows down about 100 feet in front of us. we get closer to him and when we are about 20 feet behind him, he dumps it, his rear end gets squirrely, and then we take off. he got the head start and the jump and ended up about 50 feet in front of us before i shut it down at about 125mphish. then our exit comes up and we get onto 270 goin northbound and ended up behind him. end of race. zo6 - 1, rickles - 0

i could only imagine, those cars are fucking amazing. they are REALLY fast, like shit your pants fast! lol

btw: that reminds me I saw an OLD lady driving one on manchester today! she was at least 60! :oregonian_scooter:

once i got the boost up, he really didnt pull any farther away. and wether i won or not (i knew i wasnt going to) i wanted to see what the slow honda would do against one.

I got to drive a Z06 before they are great cars but this had some shiit done on his. There is a old lady that live up here in florissant that has one too it black.

odd, im thinking he was either
A. losing traction
B. not on the throttle 100% or
C. the short gearing pwned him
As much as i love your car rick, we all know that the CRX would be walked hard by one of those cars, i couldn't see you "hanging" with it unless he was doing one of the above

they are rape. i was sittin outside my house one night this summer and some guy in a yellow one came around the corner by my house, which is about 75-100yrds from my house, probably goin about 20-30, and then romped on it and by the time he passed my house he was at least at 80. and he kept goin probably to 100+. on a 20mph rd too
